On 1st April 2025, Solipac took the opportunity to further deepen its close ties with Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences (HSHL). As part of a guest lecture, our Managing Director Kevin Tödtmann, himself a graduate of HSHL, presented the strategic challenges and innovation approaches of our company. Forward-looking marketing and brand strategies were developed together with students from the Technical Management and Marketing degree programme.
Bridge between science and business
Under the direction of Prof Dr Uwe Kleinkes, a practice-oriented event took place on the Hamm campus, which offered students a unique opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge directly into practice. The discussions and workshops focussed in particular on the use of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence in brand communication and on sustainable packaging solutions – core topics that are also of central importance to Solipac. Current market trends were analysed and creative ideas for digital marketing strategies were developed.
Why university partnerships are essential for Solipac
As an established manufacturer of sustainable packaging solutions, we rely on dialogue with academic institutions in order to integrate innovative ideas into our strategic development at an early stage. Collaborating with universities enables us to combine the latest scientific findings with practical experience and to promote talent in a targeted manner. This leads to valuable insights that strengthen our innovative power and ensure our company’s long-term success.
Sustainable knowledge transfer and innovation promotion
This partnership with HSHL is a prime example of the synergies created by the close exchange between academia and industry. Students gain valuable practical experience and insights into entrepreneurial decision-making processes, while Solipac benefits from innovative approaches that make our company more agile and competitive.
The transfer of knowledge goes beyond individual projects: long-term collaborations with universities not only enable us to identify current trends and technological developments at an early stage, but also offer opportunities to recruit highly qualified young talent. By working closely with academic institutions, we can provide young talent with targeted support and offer them a platform for practical experience in an international company.
Contribution of Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences
The HSHL also reported on the event and emphasised the importance of such collaborations for practical training. The university’s full article can be read at the following link: HSHL News & Press.
Outlook for future collaborations
Our involvement with HSHL is an important part of our strategy to promote innovation. We plan to further intensify our cooperation in the coming years and organise regular events with students. For example, joint research projects, final theses in cooperation with Solipac or the development of new business models in the field of sustainable packaging are conceivable.
We would like to thank Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Uwe Kleinkes and the dedicated students for the inspiring dialogue. We look forward to further expanding this valuable cooperation and shaping the future together.
